Clouds x Umber is a study in warmth, shadow, and atmosphere. Deep umber and burnt umber tones create a grounded foundation while softened light moves across rising clouds, giving the piece both movement and quiet strength.

Unlike the brighter expanses of my earlier cloud works, this painting leans into richness and depth. It feels expansive yet intimate — where earth and sky meet in a more interior, reflective way. This piece picks up more warmth when light shines directly on it, letting more of the red/ orange of the burnt umber really come alive.
